The ra_sftp.exe process is part of the Remotely Anywhere remote administration utility of 3am Laboratories. It lets other PC users take control of another person's PC via the Internet or some local network. Used maliciously, ra_sftp.exe allows hackers to access PCs from remote locations, enabling them to steal Internet banking details, passwords and other personal info.
Recommendation:
ra_sftp.exe does not belong in the critical components list. However, if this process is left unaccounted for, it should be terminated and deleted immediately.
