Slimshield falls under the label of automated spyware installation attempts. Upon installation, this program displays a bunch of adverts it downloaded from a remote location. Apart from this, Slimshield is also capable of distributing private info found on infected computers to outsiders for possible use in committing identity fraud and other malicious actions.
Recommendation:
Slimshield needs to be terminated and removed from affected PCs pronto. On the upside, PCs with excellent protection have little to worry about with this spyware.
