While prices of different commodities, including gadgets seem to go up, this one ignores that trend. The new Alpha MIPS is in fact the cheapest netbook at $190.
It won’t be a surprise if other netbook manufacturers would follow (or rather chase) the dirt cheap price of this netbook, but as what many would believe, cheap goods are cheap, for a very good reason.
The Alpha MIPS runs of 400 MHz, not really the fastest version of Intel Atom processor. It has 1 GB flash memory storage and a very basic 128MB RAM. If that 1 GB is not enough then you can use the SD card slot to boost up your file storage. It’s screen measures 7 inches in length.
Catering towards softcore sufring and slight typing usage, the MIPS netbook is perfect for internet work.
The notebook is currently available at geeks.com online shop.
