The MSI GT627 Gaming Laptop is among the many gadgets that the company revealed during CES 2009. And before curiosity and gossip eat the best of us, MSI decided to release information about the computer, formally.
The gaming laptop sports a 15.4 clear LCD display. Topping its features are a Core 2 Duo CPU, pixel packed 1,680 x 1,050 resolution display, 6-cell battery (optional 9-ell vesion), 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Blu-ray drive.
The laptop uses the 1GB NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GS GPU, a first for any MSI system. And if we are going to believe the makers of the GPU, we’ll surely find this laptop hard to resist. “Whether viewing or editing photos, finding directions, playing a game, or watching a hi-def movie, the MSI GT627 with the NVIDIA® GeForce® 9800M GS GPU runs silky smooth, with amazing visuals,” said Rene Haas, General Manager of the notebook business unit at NVIDIA.
There is also a 320GB HDD and a 4-in-1 multicard reader. The usual USB 2.0 ports and HDMI / VGA outputs, gigabit Ethernet supports connectivity. It also has a built-in webcam and Touch Sensor and E-SATA. Gamers can easily gow tih this as it weights around 5.8 pounds.
Price for the basic and upgraded version remains undisclosed.
