Reinstall Windows for Maximum Efficiency

Posted by Kat

If you are having errors or other problems on your PC, running a good registry cleaning program may be all that is needed to restore optimal function. Even so, there may come a point in which the best action you could take is simply to reinstall Windows.  The reason behind having to reinstall Windows is not entirely clear, other than the simple explanation that normal wear and tear necessitates that you do so after a period of time.  As a general rule of thumb, it can be said that you should reinstall Windows every two years or so if you keep your computer for that long.

Many people fear doing this because they are afraid that they will lose all of their precious data.  However, steps can be taken to ensure that you do not lose anything saved on your hard drive.  That is, of course, with the exception of the pieces of Windows that you want to have removed.

To ensure that you do not lose anything, it is necessary to first save everything you wish to retain to an external hard drive.  This can be somewhat time consuming, but well worth it if you do not want to lose your documents, pictures and music.  This is a good time to go through and delete anything you no longer want to have stored to your hard drive.

After saving everything to a hard drive you can reinstall Windows safely.  Once reinstalled, you will have to go through and reset all of your settings to suit your preferences.  Upon completing this and transferring your data from the external hard drive back to your system, your computer will run as it did when you first purchased it. Ensure that your machine stays in optimal condition by regularly running Regcure, an excellent registry cleaning program that will fix errors created by daily computer use. Download Regcure today to fully optimize your PC.
