Well you don’t have to worry, the world’s not going to end.  A rundll error is often easier to fix than many other types of errors–but it can still be seriously inconvenient to have.

What causes problems with rundll?

These errors are fairly common if you have had to replace your hard drive.  Usually in this situation, the problems happen when you’ve used software from the hard drive vendor, instead of from Microsoft.

1. Go into My Computer
2. Right click on the C: drive
3. Select properties
4. Under the General tab, select the Disk Cleanup option.

7. Delete temp files off your computer by going to the Start menu
8. Selecting Search, All Files and Folders
9. Search for “.tmp” files
10. Delete all temp files your computer finds to clear up disk space

Clear Hard Drive Space:

An efficient and fairly low-cost way to clear up hard drive space, as opposed to buying a larger hard drive for your laptop, is to buy a USB drive (4G or higher is best).  Transfer any multimedia files (pictures, rarely used documents, music) onto the USB drive. Then delete the files from your computer, empty the recycle bin, and run a disk defragment.

If you’re planning on buying a full version of Windows 7 you may want to consider just buying a new computer as the full versions are set to be expensive. Windows has a vast repository of wallpapers (Vista wallpapers anyone?)that could match the taste or personality of almost every PC user. However, not everybody wants to be dictated upon as to how their desktop should look. Most of the time, people scrap the pre-installed or pre-loaded designs for third-party ones.

Of course, there’s no ‘rule’ as regards the kind of wallpaper that you should paste on your desktop. You could post any picture or painting that you like. However, there are some instances where you may have to limit your choices.

Wallpapers consume memory space. The bigger the file, the less space you’re going to have for other applications. If you’re quite short on RAM, I suggest that you choose designs which are not that intricate. Keep it simple. Plain-looking wallpapers are usually small in terms of file size; hence, they are easier to load.
