What to do When You Encounter Error 2932

Posted by Kat

Its a real pain to experience error 2932. You are trying to install some software, and all seems to be going well. Then you get to the end and receive error2932. You may be lucky and only experience this with one program, but for many it occurs with any program they try to install, including Windows Updates. That means this error could compromise your computer’s security. Error 2932 is a registry error, tied to Microsoft Installer.

Fixing Error 2932

There are steps you can take that might fix error 2932. The best shot of things you can do on your computer yourself is a system restore. What a system restore does is basically take your computer’s registry back in time to a date of your choosing. For our purposes we will choose a date before you started having error 2932.

For Windows Vista:

  • First, you want to restart your computer
  • Press the F8 button while your computer boots up until you get a menu. If your computer goes into Windows, you need to try again.
  • Use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode
  • Hit your Enter key
  • Once your computer is fully booted up you will get a pop up window informing you that you are in Safe Mode. Close the window and go to your Start menu
  • Type “restore” in the search box. You will see system restore listed there. Click on it.
  • You will have 2 options once you get into system restore. There will be a  recommended date and choose another date. Select Choose another date.
  • Look at the dates carefully, and pick one, then click Next.
  • Click Finish
  • Reboot to normal Windows

Now if there are any programs you were able to install between today’s date and the date you restored to, you will need to reinstall them.

Registry Errors 101

I mentioned before that error 2932 is a registry error. I would like to explain the term so you have a better understanding of what happened. A registry error is any error in your Windows Operating System’s core programming code. The causes are diverse, as are the errors.

Preventative Measures for Registry Errors

To prevent registry errors in the future, I suggest getting a registry cleaner. These programs go into the registry and find assorted registry error, then fix them. This prevents errors like error 2932 from becoming so disruptive. To learn more about registry cleaners and how they can fix error 2932 visit our site today.

Posted by Kat

If you have used your computer for any length of time you have registry errors. This means you probably need a Windows XP registry cleaner.

What is a Registry Error?

Let us start by telling you what registry errors are, then you can start to see how big a problem they can be. Simply put, registry errors are any errors in the core programming code of your Windows XP. They can be corrupt files in your registry, empty registry keys, links that point to nothing, ActiveX errors, etc. They can cause any number of things from slow computer, strange errors popping up, blue screen errors, crashing programs, to system crashes.

Causes of Registry Errors

There are several causes of registry errors. The most common is virus infection. Other causes are improper installation or un-installation of programs, getting over zealous in your cleaning off the hard drive and accidentally deleting files needed by the registry, and poorly written programs operating on your computer.

Before we go any further, you need to update your anti-virus and run a full scan on all of your hard drives to ensure you have a clean system.

Fixing Registry Errors the Old-Fashioned Way

In the days before registry cleaners, you would have to do the following steps to fix registry errors:

  1. Go to the Start Button on the lower left of your desktop
  2. Go to run and type “regedit” in the box
  3. Click Next
  4. Click OK
  5. A box will appear for you to name the file you are backing up.  Choose a name and then back up.
  6. Now look at the left side of the box and view all of your Registry Files. There will be many, many files. Click on the various titles to view the files in them.
  7. Good luck finding the one/ones you are looking for!

What registry cleaners do is go into your registry and fix corrupted registry keys, dll’s(dynamic link library files) that may be corrupt or missing, and removes empty registry keys, empty file path references(links that go nowhere), and harmful ActiveX controls. All of those things affect the way your computer runs and can cause issues from slow speed to system crashes.

Posted by Kat

If you are experiencing error 1904, you must be trying to install some software. What you are trying to install is unimportant. What is important is you are experiencing an error in your dynamic link library, and this is causing the error.

Causes of Error 1904

There are a couple things that could cause your error1904. The first and most destructive to your computer is virus infection. The second is just wear and tear. Files just go missing or get corrupted as you use your computer.

Fixing Error 1904

First, let us make sure you have a clean computer. We want to make sure your anti-virus is up to date, so start it up and choose to update it. If it has been a while since you have updated your anti-virus, you may have to update several times. Next, you want to run a full scan of all your hard drives. It can take a while, so go have a cup of tea or watch a show while it runs.

Now that we have made sure your computer is clean, it is time to do a system restore. Think of it like taking your computer back to a time before you started having the error. That is basically what we are doing. A word of note. Any programs you installed between now and the date you choose will have to be re-installed.

For Windows Vista:

  • Restart your computer into Safe Mode. To do this hit the F8 key as your computer starts up. Use your arrow keys to select Safe Mode from the menu, then press Enter.
  • In the Start Menu’s search box type “restore”, you will see system restore listed there.
  • You are given two choices. A recommended and choose another restore point. You want to pick a date before you started having your problems, so look at the dates carefully.
  • If you choose to choose another restore point, you will see a list of restore points and what you did when each one was created.
  • Choose the restore point
  • Click Next
  • Click Finish

If you are still experiencing error 1904, then you have registry errors. Registry errors are any errors in the core programming code of your Windows operating system. Indentify and Fix Error 1628

Posted by Kat

Part of using a computer is installing new programs. So when you come across the “Error 1628: Failed to complete installation” it’s very frustrating. It can be anything from installing software to use your new digital camera to trying to install Windows updates.

Causes of Errror1628

There is really only one reason you would get this error, and that is because at least one registry file is corrupt. There are a couple ways that could happen. One is it could have gotten corrupted via a virus infection. The second is that just normal wear and tear on your computer caused the file to become corrupted.

Fixing Error 1628

Since one of the causes of error1628 is corrupt files due to virus infection, let us make sure your computer is clean. Your anti-virus needs to be up to date. This means you need to update it. You may have to update it multiple times to get everything up to date, but it is important. Then after you have it up to date, make sure to update it at least once a week. Now you want to run a full scan on all of your hard drives. Since this can take a while, go watch a TV show or a movie while it runs.

Our next step is to do a system restore. Think of a system restore as a snapshot of your computer in the past when you weren’t having this problem. It basically takes your computer back to a date in the past. That being said, any programs you installed between the date you restore to and now will have to be reinstalled.

For Windows XP follow these directions:

  • Go to the Start menu
  • Find All Programs and click on it
  • Select  Accessories
  • From that list you want to choose System Tools
  • Now click on System Restore
  • Select “Restore my computer to an earlier time”
  • Click Next
  • Select the restore point you want to use based on the date and description, the date you want to pick is before you started having the problem
  • Click Next
  • On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, verify the settings you have chosen.
  • If everything looks to be in order click Next

If you are still having the problem, then you have a registry error causing the issue.

Why is My Outlook not Responding?

Posted by Kat

In today’s day and age, we are dependent on our email to keep in touch with friends, family, and even work. So when your Outlook is not responding, it can be a big time sink in your productivity and even personal life.

Common Causes if No Response from Outlook

There are a few reasons that can cause Outlook to stop responding. The first would be a virus infection has damaged your Outlook. The second is that your computer just needs a little basic maintenance, and the last reason would be you are experiencing registry errors.

Fixing Outlook Express Errors

Let us start by making sure that you are not infected with a  virus that is causing these issues. First you want to update your anti-virus. If you have not done so in a while, you will have to update several times to get your anti-virus fully up to date. I suggest you update at least once a week to keep it up to date. After you have fully updated your anti-virus you want to run a full scan on the entire hard drive, or all of your hard drives if you have multiple.

Now that we are sure you are not infected with a virus, it is time to take basic maintenance steps. The steps I am about to take you through will run a scan then act like a secretary organizing a filing cabinet that is in disarray.

In Windows Vista:

  • Go to the Start button on the lower left of your screen
  • Select All Programs
  • Choose Accessories
  • Click System Tools
  • Click Disk Defragmenter

Now you need to just let your computer do its thing. This can take hours depending on when the last time it was run was. I suggest you let this run overnight while you are in bed. If you try to do anything on your computer while disk defragmenter runs, you will cause it to constantly restart.

Now that you have done basic maintenance are you still having the problem? If so then you have registry errors.

What are Registry Errors?

Registry errors are any errors within the core programming code of your Windows operating system. They are easy to deal with though. Today we have programs that are called registry cleaners, which specialize in resolving registry errors.

The Ins and Outs of Zapro.exe Errors

Posted by Kat

As time goes by, we add programs to our computers, so getting errors in these programs will happen on occasion. Zapro.exe errors are no different. In the case of Zaproexe, the program linked to the file is the personal firewall from Zone Labs, Zone Alarm Pro. In fact, Zapro.exe is the main file. With Zapro.exe errors, your computer may hang, crash, or be slowed down when you try to use the program, or the program will hang and crash.

Common Causes of the Zapro Error

Some common causes of zapro.exe errors are virus infections, corrupt files, and registry errors.

Fixing Zapro.exe Errors

Let us first make sure you are not infected with a malicious virus. To do this, you need an up to date anti-virus. If it’s been a few years since you bought a new anti-virus, the time to upgrade is now.  If the programming source for viruses has changed, so too has that of anti-virus programs.

If your program is recent, you need to update your anti-virus to get all the new definitions. A good practice is to update every week. Now that your anti-virus software has updated you’ll want to run a full scan.

Now that you have made sure that your computer is free of virus infection the next step is to re-install Zone Alarm Pro. I suggest uninstalling it, then reinstalling it so that you will get a clean install. Find the Zone Alarm Pro disk before you take the following steps.

In Windows Vista:

  • Go to your Start menu on the lower left of your Desktop
  • Choose Control Panel from the right hand side
  • Select Uninstall a program
  • Go through the list till you find Zone Alarm Pro
  • Select Zone Alarm Pro
  • Press the Uninstall button
  • Now your computer is ready for the re-installation of Zone Alarm Pro. Put the disk in and let it guide you through the installation.

Does Zone Alarm Pro work now? If not, you may have registry errors keeping the program from working properly.

What is a Registry Error?

To explain what a registry error is I have to explain the registry. The registry is the core programming code of your Windows operating system. A registry error can be anything from corrupt files to links that point to nothing. To learn more about registry errors and fixing zapro.exe errors, visit our site today.

How to Repair Yimage.dll Errors

Posted by Kat

Yimage.dll missing errors are only one of a whole slew of dynamic link library errors you can get.  As far as errors go, it is easily dealt with. What you need to do in order to fix this is to pay attention to which programs give you the error. This will give you the hints needed to pin the issue down.

Steps You can take to Prevent yimage Errors

First, you need to make sure you are not getting this error as a result of being infected with a virus. So update your anti-virus software and run a full scan. After you have done this, we will do a system restore.

A system restore is like a snapshot of your registry that Windows takes every now and then, usually around every 90 days unless you have told it to make a restore point yourself.

For Windows XP follow these directions:

  1. Go to your start menu
  2. Choose all programs
  3. Go to Accessories
  4. Choose System Tools
  5. Click on System Restore
  6. Select “Restore my computer to an earlier time”
  7. Select the restore point you want to use based on the date right before you started receiving the errors
  8. On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, authenticate the settings you have chosen. If everything is in order, press the next button.

Keep in mind that if you installed any programs between the date you restored to and now, you will need to reinstall those programs.  When you install new programs, they put files in the registry and you have just negated those files, thus the programs won’t work right if at all now.

If you are still having the “yimage.dll is missing” errors, then the problem is a registry error.

What is a Registry Error?

To know what a registry error is, you have to know what the registry is. It’s really simple. The registry is the core programming code of your Windows operating system. So a registry error is anything wrong with that code. Registry errors can range from corrupt files to registry keys that point to nothing.

In the past, you would have had to go into the registry and go through file by file to try and find the files that were the cause of the errors. This is no longer the case. Today we have registry cleaners that will do that for you, in a matter of moments.

For more information on registry cleaners and how to fix your yimage.dll errors, this connection performs all functions of an advanced registry cleaner in one click.  You can back up your system, clean your registry, and reorganize fragmented files
