In this blog we are going to share with you the leading cause of Windows errors and some ways to fix the Windows errors you are experiencing.

The Root Cause

First, on to the cause of most Windows errors. Most Windows errors can be traced down to one root problem. Registry errors. Registry errors happen when files in the registry are missing or corrupt. This is bad because the registry is the core programming of your Windows operating system, so anything wrong there can have far reaching effects.

Here are some steps you can take yourself to manually repair your registry.

Go to the Start Button

Select “run” and type “regedit” in the box

Select “Next”

Choose “OK”

A box will appear for you to name the file you are backing up. Choose a name and back up.

At the left side of the box you will see all of your registry files. Click the various titles to view the files within them

Good luck finding the files you are looking for. Oh, and if you make a mistake, you could turn your computer into a paperweight.

The Easy Way

There is a easier and safer way to repair your registry. There are programs called registry cleaners on the market these days that will go through your registry and fix it in a matter of moments.

What are you waiting for? To learn more about how to fix Windows errors now.

If you are like the average computer user you know when your computer is not behaving properly, and you know you need to do some Windows XP repair, but you don’t have a clue where to start. Let’s start at the problems that you might be experiencing that would lead you to the knowledge you need to do some Windows XP repair.

Slow computer

system32 errors

.exe or .dll errors

hanging or crashing programs

blue screen of death

Outlook Express problems

What the average computer user doesn’t realize is that all these errors have the same root cause. That cause is registry errors. To understand what a registry error is I’m going to have to explain about the registry.

What is the registry?
Simply put the registry is what makes your Windows XP work. The registry is the core programing code for your Windows XP, so if anything should go wrong in the registry you will start seeing some of the errors I listed earlier.

Fix Windows XP Registry Errors
The simplest way to get rid of registry errors is to do a System Restore. It’s always a good idea to back up your files when you do this.

Restart your computer.

Press F8 until “Advance Menu Option” appears.

Use the up and down keys to navigate to “Safe Mode” and press Enter.

When you get to the welcome screen, enter your Admin password if you have one.

Go to the Start button.

Select Accessories.

Find the “System Tools” and select “System Restore”.

Now, the Wizard should take you through the steps to creating a system restore.

If this doesn’t work, you could go into your Registry Editor. This is only for the brave of heart or someone that is willing to take the chance of having to replace all the files in their hard drive.

Repair and Maintain Windows XP
There is some very good news if you are experiencing registry errors. There is a new kind of program on the market called a registry cleaner that was created to address the issues I have brought to light.

To do some Windows XP repair with a registry cleaner go to http://optimize-your-pc.com/regcure/repair_errors.php today.

I’m writing to the person who has found themselves experiencing system32 errors. These errors bring a halt to whatever you were doing on your computer, and usually bring headaches with them. I’m here to tell you what a system32 error is, why you may be experiencing them, and how to fix them.

Likely Causes of a System32 Error
Let’s get started with the known causes of system32 errors. The most common cause of system32 errors is your computer got infected with a virus or spyware. These programs are notorious for causing collateral damage to your computer. Some damage is more extreme than other damage. But if you are getting system32 errors after an infection, it was a bad infection.

Another common cause of system32 errors is the improper installation or uninstallation of programs. If you are going to remove a program, don’t delete it. Use the uninstall file that some programs come with or add/remove programs in your control panel.

Manual Fix of a System32 Error

Reboot your computer.

Press F8 until you get to the Boot Menu.

Select the “Boot Using Last Known Configuration” option.

Your computer will restart using the last configuration that worked on your operating system.

If this doesn’t work, you could keep track of all your errors and do a little research. Go into your Registry Editor and find any corrupted files and remove them. This process is not for the average computer user. In fact, even computer techies will turn down this job. One wrong move and you’ll be replacing your entire operating system.

How to Resolve a System 32 Error
Now on to the good news, how to fix your problem. This is the part I really like to tell people because it is so easy to do. A registry cleaner will organize the computer and put everything in its place. Going into your registry yourself could spell disaster. One wrong move and you’ll find yourself reinstalling your entire operating system and losing valuable files.

Research registry errors like System32 here. Before I do anything with a computer error, I go here first to learn about the error. You’ll find that some of these errors aren’t as alarming as you initially thought. And if it is serious, you’ll find the quickest and easiest solutions, too.

If you’ve run Windows for some amount of time, then it’s very likely you’ve encountered the Windows XP blue screen error. There are a lot of likely causes, considering how prone Windows can be to force itself into a Blue Screen of Death.

Every time Windows encounters a critical error that it can’t recover from, it’ll post a blue screen. Often, a simple reboot can solve the problem. However, if a reboot doesn’t fix it, it can be a more serious error.

Blue Screen Error Causes

Blue screen errors are usually caused by these 4 problems:

Missing or outdated drivers. Device driver errors are the common cause for blue screens.

Temperature / overheating problems.

Damaged or faulty hardware.

Viruses and other malicious programs.

In order to more efficiently troubleshoot the error, you’ll want to download the code that the blue screen message gives to you.

If you’re having trouble writing down the code before the system restarts, you can disable the reboot by doing the following:

Go to your Control Panel (Start > Setting > Control Panel)

Select System and Maintenance > System

Choose Advanced System Settings

Under Startup and Recovery, select Settings

Disable the Automatic Restart under System Failure setting

Fixes for Blue Screen Causes

Drivers: Update your drivers and make sure you have all necessary drivers for any new hardware. It’s also a good idea to download any Windows updates, if there are any.

Temperature: Your system temp should be about 33 degrees Celsius when idle. You can check your temp in the BIOS. If you are having temperature problems, make sure all your equipment is clean and that there is a decent current flowing through your tower.

Damaged hardware: You’ll need to troubleshoot each device to see which one is causing the error. If possible, switch them in and out to a known working machine.

Viruses: Boot into Windows under Safe Mode and run a trusty antivirus (do a deep scan, including archived files).

Regular Computer Maintenance

For regular maintenance, I recommend that you defrag your computer and run a registry cleaner. Defragging your computer will free up any space taken up by file fragments in your hard drive.

In a similar way, regularly running a registry cleaner will keep your computer free from system errors by repairing any corrupt or fragmented files contained in your registry. Since your registry tends to collect “dead” files bits and other useless information, you’ll want to keep it clean so that important programs can access the necessary system files that they need.

You can find a registry cleaner here to fix Windows XP blue screen errors and get your computer running fast, organized, and optimized.

If you have encountered a Windows XP slow startup, you probably want to speed things up. A Windows XP slow startup will make it very difficult to do anything on your system. This is because the majority of issues that cause a slow startup also affect other processes and applications. Here are a few ways to speed up your computer’s startup and address all underlying issues.

Deactivate Programs from Startup

If there are a cluster of programs that are automatically starting when your computer boots, your system will become congested. As a result, you should definitely minimize the number of programs that run on startup. It’s fairly simple to do this. Here’s how:

Click Start.

Go to Run.

In the Start Search field text box, type in msconfig.

Click OK.

The System Configuration Utility will now open. Click the Startup Tab.

Uncheck the programs you wish to disable from running at startup.

An excessive number of programs at startup is one of the most common and obvious causes of slow startup. However, many other factors contribute to a slow boot.

Run Disk Cleanup

If there are a dizzying number of extraneous files on your system, then it’s time to run Disk Cleanup. Actually, you may be unaware that there are a lot of seemingly harmless files that are actually slowing down your computer. Disk Cleanup is a wonderful utility that can get rid of extra files. It’s easy to run Disk Cleanup:

Click Start.

Select All Programs.

Go to System Tools.

Click Disk Cleanup.

Check the files you wish to remove.

Click OK.

You should run Disk Cleanup occasionally, even if you think you don’t need to. This is because Disk Cleanup works wonderfully as a tool of prevention.

Add RAM

If you’re savvy enough, then you can also add RAM to your system to speed it up. Take note, however, that this isn’t a panacea. You need to also fix any latent issues that might be slowing your computer.

If you have fixed these issues and you still want your computer to run faster, then it’s always an option to just add RAM to your system

Registry Cleaners

Registry cleaners are very investigative tools that do detective work on your registry. If they find something out of place, then they fix it. This is why they are particularly suited to fixing slow startup problems. If you haven’t run a registry cleaner yet, you should definitely do so. It’s a good way to prevent errors and keep your system running at its optimal performance.

Speed up Windows XP slow start up, so your computer runs as efficiently as possible.

A JavaScript problem will make it very difficult to browse the Web. JavaScript powers have many rich online features. This makes it necessary to repair a JavaScript problem so that you can work online or surf the Web.

How does JavaScript work?

The majority of web developers use JavaScript to build rich interfaces and dynamic, media-driven websites. As such, you’ll find JavaScript on the majority of websites you visit. There are a few common issues that cause JavaScript errors. It’s easy to resolve these, however.

Pop-up blockers can create JavaScript problems. Your browser will need to read scripts in order to open windows such as shopping carts, interactive menus, and dynamic displays. Pop-up blockers will prevent your computer from reading these scripts. So, it’s very likely you’ll encounter JavaScript errors if you have enabled a popup blocker.

Disable Pop-Up Blockers and Enable Active Scripting

Here’s how to disable your pop-up blocker (Internet Explorer 8 and Mozilla Firefox 3.5.)

Internet Explorer 8 (Windows)

Click the “Tools” menu located on the right side of the Internet Explorer Tab.

Highlight the “Pop-up Blocker” setting.

Click “Turn Off Pop-up Blocker.”

Mozilla Firefox 3.5 (Windows)

Select the “Tools” menu.

Click “Options.”

Select the “Content” option.

Uncheck the checkbox next to “Block Popup Windows.”

If you haven’t enabled active scripting, then you’ll probably run into some problems with JavaScript. Active Scripting basically gives your browser permission to run scripts on various web pages. It’s quite simple to check and see if you have enabled Active Scripting. Here’s how:

A psapi.dll error can be an easy error to fix, but a difficult problem to troubleshoot. You can several things to fix the error, but each process depends on the nature and source of the error.

For instance, a psapi error can be caused by a poorly installed program, a hardware or driver issue, viruses, or registry problems (corrupt or missing files in your registry).

The psapi.dll file is a necessary system and program file, so under no circumstances should you manipulate it manually.

What You’ll Want to Do to Troubleshoot the Psapi Error

Since psapi problems can come from so many sources, you’ll need to approach the problem from different angles.

If you are absolutely sure of the source, then follow the instructions listed. If you are not exactly sure of the source, then you’ll want to go through each of these steps to see which might correct your problem.

Outdated copy of dll: Windows releases different service packs and updates that may change the nature of your dll files. If your updates are not current, then go to the website to update them first.

Missing dll: Run system check by opening up the command screen (Start > Run for XP) and typing in “sfc /scannow”. This process should replace any missing dlls, and it only takes a few minutes.

You receive error when starting a program: It is probably a poorly installed program. Uninstall the program and reinstall it. This should provide the program with the missing dll.

Hardware/driver problem: Go to your manufacturer’s website and be certain you have the correct and current drivers for each of your pieces of hardware (video card, sound card, motherboard, etc.)

How to Deal With Viruses

Viruses like to infiltrate your system registry files (like dll) because they are difficult to delete, hard to manually detect, and cause root problems for many of your system functions.

However, running a few deep scans with a reliable antivirus program should take care of the problem. I recommend doing this first because cleaning your computers of potential viruses is always a great idea.

Always maintain a firewall for security purposes. This is often overlooked by many PC users.

Clean Out Your Registry

An organized, clean registry is key for optimal PC use. The registry is the area that many of your critical system files are stored. It also tends to collect bits of programs and cache data.

If you want optimum performance and security, you’ll want to keep your registry organized. Download a registry cleaner here to deal with psapi.dll errors, and you’ll find out a lot of helpful troubleshooting tips, tricks, and strategies.

Some people may wonder why it is important to keep your registry clean. As a rule, your Windows registry should be kept clean and error-free to ensure optimum PC performance and eliminate the chance of harmful system crashes or file corruption. Here are six benefits of cleaning your PC registry:

1 – Removes Orphan Registry Keys: Keeping your registry clean makes sure orphan registry keys are removed after uninstallation. This creates new space and ensures registry size is maintained small and kept stable and fully accessible.

2 – No More Registry Holes: It also prevents the creation of registry holes that can make your registry unstable when keys are deleted or moved.

3 – Reduce Clutter: Prevents the accumulation of outdated and obsolete registry entries, which reduces clutter and keeps the registry from becoming unstable.

4 – Prevents Corrupt Files: Prevents infiltration and insertion of corrupt entries by malicious programs (malware, spyware, Trojans, adware, viruses, etc.) It’s obvious why this is a benefit, nobody wants their computer, let alone their registry, filled with malicious files that corrupt and damage your PC.

5 – Removes Malicious Files: Keep registry keys from embedding unremovable malicious entries into your registry. This correlates with the previous benefit, as Spyware is often the culprit that inserts these entries.

6 – Saves Registry Space: Prevents redundant or repeat keys from being entered into the registry due to reinstallation or upgrading of programs. Having two of the same file is unnecessary and only takes up valuable space.

A quick and easy way to clean your registry and keep it in top shape is to download and utilize a good registry cleaner. The cleaner will find and fix registry errors with the added six previous benefits, and it will keep your PC running at optimum condition.

As any savvy PC owner knows, the registry is an integral part of your PC, the library of information, keys, and links that allow your computer to function. Because the registry is such a vast collection of your PC’s “knowledge,” it is also the center of error activity on your PC. Here is some information on how cleaning your registry repairs ActiveX errors, among others.

What is the registry?

As mentioned before, the registry is basically the library of all the information on your PC. Registry keys and program files stored in your registry allow programs and software on your PC to function. It is the central hub of activity on your computer because every program, tool, and software you utilize is able to function because of its files and keys in your registry.

Because your registry is constantly being utilized and accessed by your PC, it is riddled with unused and corrupt files that bloat your registry and cause damage to healthy files and keys. This damage can cause errors all over your computer, from program and system errors to DLL and file errors. The best way to eliminate and prevent this problem is to clean your registry.

What is ActiveX?

ActiveX is a plugin used by Internet Explorer and other Microsoft software. These programs to enable certain media and auxiliary options like video, sound bytes, interactive menus, toolbars, and animated features utilize it. ActiveX aids in imbedding these media files in the website and provides PC users who visit the site a control to download to enable the files to work.

ActiveX is constantly accessing your registry as you browse the internet, searching for controls and information for file and website access. Because of this close relationship, any errors with ActiveX controls on your registry can cause ActiveX errors.

Cleaning and Repairing:

The best way to clean your registry is to download a registry cleaning software. A good registry cleaner will scan your PC’s registry for any errors, corrupt and unneeded files, and duplicate keys. It will then fix the errors and purge your registry of any unneeded files. A good registry cleaner will also defragment and organize your registry, leaving it clean, error-free, and fully optimized.

A clean registry means a happy, error-free PC, which, in turn, means a happy PC user (you). Learn more about how to repair ActiveX errors and optimize your computer yourself or through the help of a software program designed to fix everything in a matter of minutes.

Windows Media Player is the default digital media player and media library application for all Microsoft Windows operating systems. It is mainly used for playing audio, video, and viewing images on PCs and Windows-based mobile devices. Though it was also released for Mac computers, it was discontinued for that OS later on.

Being a default component of Windows, Windows Media Player is susceptible to errors on your PC, namely registry and hard drive errors. This article will tell you how cleaning your registry will repair Windows Media Player.

What registry errors affect WMP?

Because Windows Media Player is a default and primary component for Windows operating systems, it is highly susceptible to errors on your registry. These errors occur in various forms and for various reasons. The most common types of registry errors affecting Windows Media Player are corrupt/missing registry keys and incomplete links.

Registry bloat occurs over time when files and keys in your registry overflow the appointed space given for your registry on your hard drive. Because every software and program you download or install on your PC is located in your registry, every program you add and delete leaves its mark.

Uninstalled programs leave behind unused keys and folders that are not deleted from your registry during an installation removal. Individual keys that are corrupt and fixed by your PC aren’t replaced, a new key is simply added, leaving the unneeded key behind. This causes serious bloat of keys and files you no longer need on your PC.

How will cleaning your registry help?

Cleaning your registry will eliminate all of the registry errors and corrupt keys that are affecting the way your Windows Media Player runs. Cleaning your registry is always beneficial for your entire PC. Eliminating harmful errors and corrupt keys that can damage your files or cause file loss or computer freeze/crash. There is no downside to cleaning your registry.

How do you clean your registry?

The simplest way to clean your registry is to download and utilize a good registry cleaning software. Not only will this software scan and eliminate registry errors, duplicate keys, and unused files from your registry, a good cleaner will also offer a means to defragment and organize your registry, backup registry files, as well as a scheduled scan option to regularly scan and clean your registry.

Optimize-Your-PC will scan, diagnose, and repair Windows Media Player, leaving you with nothing but a highly-optimized PC.
