It is frustrating. You get error 2303, and your computer just shuts down on you. It comes out of the blue, and you don’t know what causes it. I’m here to help you.

What is Error 2303?

Error2303 is a system error tied to MySQL and the registry. Being a node error, once it occurs your computer has to shut down. A registry error can be many things, but it is an error in the core programming code of your Windows Operating system.  So they have severe effects on your daily activities.

Fixing Error 2303

Before we start, we need to make sure that a virus is not the cause of your error. Start your anti-virus program, choose to update it, and update as many times as needed till you get no more updates available. Now run a full scan on all of your hard drives. While it runs, you can watch a show or have a meal.

Now that the anti-virus has done its thing, we need to go into Safe Mode. Restart your computer pressing F8 till you get to a menu, use your arrow keys to select Safe Mode, then press Enter. You should get a pop up message telling you that you are in Safe Mode.

Now we are going to do a System Restore. This acts like taking your computer back in time to a date before you had the problem. After we do this any programs you installed between the date selected and today’s date will need to be re-installed.

For Windows Vista:

• In the Start Menu’s search box type “restore”, you will see System Restore listed there. Click on it.
• You are given two choices. A recommended and choose another restore point. Choose the pick another date option unless the date recommended is before you started having the issues.
• Look carefully at the choices, and what you did on the date that each one was created.
• Choose your restore point
• Click on Next
• Click on Finish
• Restart as normal

That should fix it. If not, go to an earlier date.

Preventative Measures for Future Registry Errors like Error 2303

To prevent errors like error 2303 it is good to have a registry cleaner. These programs specialize in correcting corrupt data, and fixing empty registry keys that can cause all kinds of errors like error 2303, and they just take moments to run.
