QPAD Makes Some Noise with High-end Gaming Headset

QPAD refused to be quiet with its new high-end gaming headset.

Dubbed as the ultimate headset for hardcore gamers, the new headset boasts a response to audio input of 5Hz to 30KH, making the slightest of sound audible and of course enjoyable.

The new headset was made in conjunction with beyerdynamic. And to no surprise the makes come up with a headset that puts more than well, introduce sound straight into your eardrums.

QPAD’s headset also has ambient noise attenuation to around 18 dBA. It comes with a noise- canceling microphone so gamers who would like to voice chant/or trash talk for that matter will have a lot of fun with this gadget. It comes with a USB converter volume control too.

Price of this handsome gaming headset is still unknown.

Asus Unveils 15-inch Gaming Laptop, the G50V

Mobile gamers will have a new gadget of interest. This is the Asus G50V, the company’s latest gaming laptop.

G50V is a high-powered machine that wields a 15-inch screen that showcases a 1680×1050 default resolution. The gaming laptop boasts a processor of 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T9400. Its memory of 4GB running at 800MHz undoubtedly makes it fast. It carries one of the best Nvidia graphics engine, the GeForce 9700M GT with 512 MB of DDR3 memory. It has a hard drive of 500GB.

Asus’ new laptop is not an ordinary laptop. It has an automatic overclocking function that turns the CPU into a Turbo mode. Players only need to push a button to activate this feature. Gamers can also hold onto the headset to activate Turbo Extreme mode.

G50V also carries a 2.0 MP built in webcam. It is decorated with LEDs along side the screen.

But this laptop is not just all about gaming. G50V also sports other mobile computer functions like Express Gate button, facial recognition system, HDMI-out and an eSATA port.

G50V is out now and can be bought with a DVD burner for $1,699. A version boasting Blu-ray system with 200BG storage is sold for $1,899.

Intel Plans Quad-Core Nehalem Chips for High-End Desktops

Intel will push the performance and capability of present day PCs by introducing a Nehalem microarchitecture-based processor. This new processor would use a quad-core chips that is intended to be used in advanced and high-end gaming computers.

According to Intel, the Nehalem-based processors will still carry the company’s popular “Core” brand. Dubbed as the Core i7, the first Nehalem desktop chip will target gamers, designers and creative professionals.

Initially, there will be two versions. The black Core i7 or the Extreme Edition will be Intel’s fastest and highest-end chips. Blue labeled chips, on the other hand will be a step down.

Upcoming Core chips that doesn’t carry code-name will be tagged as Penryn. It will be based on Intel’s older chip architecture and will have the Core 2 mark.

Intel refuses to disclose the specifications of the new Core i7, but sources revealed that it will feature a new integrated memory controller and a new breakthrough feature. Intel however hinted that the new breakthrough feature will give PC increased performance and energy efficiency.
