Nokia 6710 Navigator and 6720 Classic Unveiled

Posted by Mike

Nokia unveiled two new phones with complete QWERTY keyboard – the new Nokia 6710 Navigator and 6720 Classic phones.

The 6710 Navigator is a slider phone while the 6720 is, classic. Both of these phones sport a GPS system that is clearly useable for users who want to explore the world. That pretty much explains the Navigator title too. And to support the claim that it is really the Navigator phone, it has real time drive-and-walk navigation, and full regional maps. If you want to take pictures while exploring, then the 5-MP built-in Carl Zeiss camera should be your answer to that.

The classic version 6720 is pretty much like the Navigator, with less than a bit of the style. It also has 5 megapixel camera and the high tech applications. It also got a 2.2-inch TFT QVGA, music player with support for MP3, AAC and WMA, FM tuner, and a dual-LED flash.

Both of the phones have 16GB microSD memory and 18.5 day standby time and 4.5 / 7.5 hour talk time for 3G and GSM, respectively.

Nokia 6720 will be released first for a tag of 245 euros, 6710 Navigator will follow for 300 euros. Expect the 6720 on second quarter of this year and 6710 Navigator months after.
