Corel is bringing something that can perhaps make Sony VAIO P a real turn on (not that the unit is a turn off), the InstantON technology.
For those not familiar InstantO, it is a feature that is fast becoming a requirement in most netbooks. It allows fast surfing make Skype calls; chat on the IM client; listen to music and other usage that pretty much defined why you bought a netbook in the first place. And Sony clearly doesn’t want to be the last to adapt the technology.
VAIO P-series of netbooks are available in Vista OS only. And since Vista takes a little while to boot up users who will take quick notes or check the web for something will be able to appreciate this feature more.
VAIO P with the Corel InstantON will be initially released in Japan, other markets including US will follow soon.
