Samsung is dead serious about the new PL10. Their 2-page press release about the product justifies that. Not that we are complaining, the dubbed multimedia camera is packed with features.
Samsung PL10 sports a 9 megapixel and has a 7 inch LCD screen and PMP (Personal Multimedia Player) with integrated MP3 player. Yes it is a camera and a music player in one. Perhaps Samsung wants us to listen to some cool sounds while taking pictures, or vice versa.
The camera features Face Recognition, Perfect Portrait System, Smart Auto and Frame guide which aren’t really surprising.
The MP3 function allows you to create slideshows with music, plug it into an external video device and you have a hell of a good visual show.
The Smart Auto Screen Recognition optimizes picture settings for ease of use. There are different modes including Portrait, Night portrait, Macro and Macro Colour.
Smart Album allows extended management of photos while Face Detection and Recognition, well are pretty self explanatory.
It will be available in camera stores this April in colors such as, royal black, arty red, candy pink and purple. The tag mark would be around £179.

Samsung is done drive testing its newly made 256GB SSD. The company announced earlier that they will be mass producing the hard drive, therefore stirring excitement among tech enthusiasts.
Earlier, the announcement of 256 SSD raised speculations about its supposed price once it hits mainstream market. Experts are worried that 256 GB SSD might not simply be affordable, considering that current 128GB SSD is already tagged at $400.
This won’t really be the case as a few tech blogger noted that mass production of the hyped SSD will “bring the price down dramatically.”
Cnet predicts that the new SSD drive will be tagged at between $1,000 and $1,400, a price that many should find “affordable.”
The improvement of SSDs is a big step as it is the same hard ware that is currently being used by popular netbooks. An increase in SSD capacity equates to a future increase in the most celebrated mobile computer’s capcity as well.
