How to Fix XP on Windows PCs

Posted by Kat

As with all computer systems, Windows XP is susceptible to its fair share of errors and is vulnerable to corruption due to viruses and other malicious programs.  If you run across any minor to major problems with your Windows XP PC, the following steps will help fix XP and get your computer system up and running like new again.

As with any problem, the faster you try to diagnose and fix it, the easier it will be to fix.  If you are having problems with your computer system, an immediate fix is highly recommended.

Restore Your Computer to a Previous Date without XP Errors
Resetting your computer system to the last known good registry configuration eliminates any recently developed problems and is the simplest way to fix XP errors.  The only downside of this utility is that any files saved during the time since that last known good configuration will be lost.  So if you can access them, save them on an external drive to ensure their safety.

To reset your computer to the last known good configuration:

  • Restart (reboot) your computer while holding down the F8 key.
  • This will bring up the Windows Advanced Options menu.
  • Using your arrow keys, go down to Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked) and hit enter.

Simple as that.

Never Have to Fix XP Again
To prevent the same problems in your computer system from happening again, download a good registry cleaner.  A good registry cleaner will find and eliminate registry errors on your computer’s hard drive and prevent any system errors that will require you to fix windows XP.

Getting An XP Error? How to Fix It

Posted by Kat

Getting a meaningless XP error can be annoying, and perhaps frightening if you don’t know what it means.  XP error messages are usually no reason for alarm, it simply means your Windows registry needs cleaning.  Does this sound ominous?  This process does not require you to become a computer geek.  There are products made for this purpose, and no knowledge is required from you.

Windows registry problems are caused by a number of things.  Most people who use a PC do so to look up information or do things they enjoy, such as downloading music or games.  Everyday normal activity eventually causes XP problems and other wear and tear, but you certainly don’t have to live with it.  Files in your Windows registry often become obsolete or corrupt, due to a number of things.

Sometimes there are many programs left on your PC that you no longer use.  Documents you create are stored in a particular file.  When you visit websites, this information is stored in the history of your PC.  All of these things add up, and can cause a sort of “traffic jam” on your computer, causing you to receive messages.  You may also notice that your computer becomes slow or sluggish.  This is normal, but it can easily be reversed so that your PC runs fast and efficiently once again.

A registry cleaner will scan your Windows registry for erroneous files, broken and obsolete files and other problems.  It will then repair everything for you, meaning that your computer will work like it did before.  You will stop receiving irritating messages, and your PC will run fast once again.

Are you tired of getting messages and having a slow running PC?  Get the best registry cleaner to repair XP errors, leaving you with nothing but a highly optimized PC!
